About THM Media Group

THM Media Group is the marketing and public relations division of The Hype Magazine, Inc., and was founded in 2013  by the merger of Doby Communications, Inc., and The Hype Magazine, Inc. and collectively has handled Grammy winning talent, produced an NBA Entertainment League event for the USO in Korea, conducted media junkets for film distribution outlets like Tri-Destined Studios in Los Angeles and handled media for the largest club promoter in Los Angeles, Sean Healy Presents. Currently, our clients are leaders and taste makers in their markets both nationally as well as Asia and the UK.

THM Media Group provides full service marketing and public relations solutions for the digital universe, combining the experience, resources and creativity of two powerhouse entities and leveraging those deeply rooted skills to move its clients forward at a measurable and quantifiable pace.

The Team

Doby Communications, Inc., was created in 1998 while founder Jerry Doby was employed as a legal assistant for one of the largest civil litigation firms in the United States. While moonlighting as a talent coordinator for the documentary film, “Welcome to Death Row” by Xenon Pictures, he met former Death Row publicists, George “Dad” Price and Norman Winters and got to watch the masters at work. Both gentlemen took a liking to Jerry and assisted his transition into the PR world, providing valued advice and experience. His education, based on watching how those established publicists did things, garnered Doby Public Relations its first major client.

Established in 2002 by marketing guru Jameelah “Just Jay” Wilkerson, The H.Y.P.E. Magazine is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. H.Y.P.E. stands for “How You Perceive Everything.” It is designed to provide its patrons with relevant entertainment, music news, eye-catching consumer ads, music reviews of their favorite established entertainers, while spotlighting independent artists seeking to gain greater exposure. This magazine reaches a unique group of consumers who view The HYPE Magazine as their source for music, new trends, new products, services, entertainment, events and topics relevant to their daily lives. H.Y.P.E impacts both the personal and professional demographic. The HYPE Magazine’s mission is to tap into new technologies and digital media innovations that support the continued growth of the brand.

The HYPE Magazine operates as a web portal which targets a marquee audience with limited edition print issues and a monthly mixtape magazine. We have developed a strong online presence over the years with the help of monthly digital issues. The HYPE Magazine provides digital content that is delivered electronically and is able to reach international markets; at the same time, the brand supports preservation of the environment with a revolutionary Eco-friendly distribution method called Digeprint. These factors make it the #1 digital magazine in the world.
